Mike Tyson (Michael Gerard Tyson) is an American former professional boxer. He was born on 30th June 1966 in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York. His professional boxing career started in 1985 and competed till 2005. He has a brother named Rodney and had an elder sister named Denise. His sister died at the age 24 of a heart attack in February 1990. His Biological father mentioned on his birth certificate is Purcell Tyson. Purcell was from Jamaica. Tyson had known as his father was Jimmy Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick was from Grier Town, North Carolina. Tyson’s family lived in Bedford-Stuyvesant until their financial burden made them move to Brownsville at that time Tyson was 1o years old. His mother died when he was 16 leaving Tyson in care of boxing manager and trainer Cus D’Amato. Later he became Tyson’s legal guardian.

Tyson was in Tryon School for Boys in Johnstown, New York where Bobby Stewart discovered his ability as a boxer.
